The Difference is in the Details

Today I’m going to let you in on what makes LUX different from our competitors. (Fellow glam-gurus, this is a great reference tool for you, too!) It's something we like to call our "LUX process". This process is very important when booking clients. We have created something special that ensures every detail is discussed and every look is tested.

We start with our questionnaire. This helps us pair our clients with the best team of artists for their specific needs. Our diverse team can handle it all--they can work with every skin-tone and hair texture! Next, we test your look with a quick trial run; this is the only and best way know what styles will and won’t work for the big day! What if that snatched pony won’t work with your veil or that nude lip isn’t the right shade to complement your dress? We can fix it without the panic that a day-of disaster might cause!

The fun part? Photoshoot!!! You must have a quick photoshoot once the test look is complete and perfected—it would be a waste not to! This is your wedding-day look, meaning you can use this as most of our clients do: as an opportunity for bridal portraits! If you’re not from around here, you probably have no clue what I’m talking about. It’s a southern thing ;) Google it—trust me, you’ll want them! Why? Because now you know exactly how you will look in photographs, another step in confirming the look is everything you envisioned and more.

How amazing does this sound so far? I’m going to admit this: my favorite part about the trial is that we get to meet you. Meeting your glam squad beforehand makes it feel like seeing on old friend on the big day, and that’s exactly what we want to be for you—your best glam-friend!

On the more boring side, but still extremely important, the Lux Process helps us iron out any glam schedule (we talked about these in my last post!) changes before the wedding day. We like to be organized. That means tailoring our team to and for you, testing your look in person and on camera, and, on the administrative side, sending final confirmations to the bride and artist, and finalizing each scheduled detail with you and/or your planner. No stone will be left unturned!
